Thermite Welding Foreman
Quality Railway Services is looking to fill positions for both Thermite welding foreman and a Thermite welding assistant. There is lots of room for growth within our company as we are a very fast growing company. We are based out of Stony plain but we work throughout western Canada.

Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of Thermite welding
- Prior CROR/TIGS
- Confident in the Thermite process
- Certified by Contractor Orientation, e-Railsafe
Responsibilities
- Experienced in both CN and CP welding processes
- Document all necessary information on the rails, paperwork and upload/email
- Work in high stress situations both safely and efficiently
- Experienced in general railroad track work; Rail cutting, Changing rail, Switch assembly, Checking Surface, Gauging
- Basic track work duties; spiking, anchoring and surfacing
- Inspect all tools before working and fix issues that are found
- Perform routine maintenance
- Detects faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notifies supervisors.
- Operates equipment per safety policies, rules and regulations. General/Other Responsibilities and Duties
- Inspects equipment, diagnoses problems and notifies supervisor of the need to the repair equipment.
- Keeps records and prepares reports of maintenance work and cost of work.
